Preparations

Choose a clean, serene spot (rooftop, terrace, large tub, balcony, or near a pond if available).
Arrange a shallow tray or container (soop), earthen lamps, fruits, sugarcane, thekua, raw milk, turmeric, and water in vessels.
Clean the area thoroughly and ensure no distractions.

Day 1 & Day 2 (Nahay Khay & Kharna)

On Day 1, take a ritual bath and consume a sattvic meal.
On Day 2, observe fast (often waterless) until sunset; after the evening arghya break fast with prasad (kheer, fruits).

Day 3 – Sandhya Arghya (Evening Offering)

Reach your “ghat” spot 30–45 minutes before local sunset.
Stand in water (if safe and feasible) or near waterline, offer water, prasad in soop, light lamps, chant mantras or bhajans.
